While the Apollo Varsity Robotics Team has existed for several years, this is only the second year for new coach Mr. Leohr and many new team members.  We are really looking forward to this year's competition having learned so much last year.

Elkhorn Crossing Vex State Qualifier Event 2015-2016

This year we had four teams total during development time but at our first competition only three teams were ready to go.  One of our teams (Team BoBo) was really excited to go since they had successfully built a functional shooting robot.  However, when we arrived our shooter magically worked too well and shot over the field by at least 10 feet.  After several modifications, we came home and tested it and watched it work perfectly so who knows what changed :)  The other two teams (Team Delvers and Team Tightens) performed reasonably well with collection systems.  At the end of the competition two of our teams (Team Bobo and Team Delvers) were chosen for alliances at the quarterfinals.  Now we are ready for another competition after we go home and tweak our robots.

Hopkins Co. Vex State Qualifier Event 2014 - 2015

Teams Apex and Ug were excited to compete in our first competition of the year at Hopkins County.  At one time during the day, both teams were in the top 10 and we even had a short stint of being in 1st place with Team Apex.  At the end of the night, both teams were chosen for alliances in the finals and Team Apex nearly made it to the championship in their alliance.  We look forward to competing again at Eklhorn Cross School in just 3 short weeks.

Robot Development 2014 - 2015

We spent quite a lot of time figuring out a few aspects that sadly never made it to competition, but we are more than ready for next year!
